Police operatives arrest kidnap kingpin declared wanted by Wike
The FCT police command operatives have successfully apprehended Dahiru Adamu, one of the notorious kidnappers who had a 20 million naira reward placed their capture by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Wike had declared a N20million bounty on three suspected kidnappers who were at large.
The Minister, who joined FCT police boss to parade dozens of suspected kidnappers at the FCT Command Headquarters, Garki, Abuja, a few days ago, noted that the days of insecurity and tension in the capital city are over.
He had urged the command to deploy more intelligence in stamping out all forms of criminality in Abuja.
The Minister then told the police “Go and fish the three remaining kidnappers out wherever they are. I put N20million bounty on their head. Go all out for them and fish them out. Everyday is for the thief, one day is for the owner of the house.
“They have terrorized us, but we told them we are coming. Police, make sure you train them in the best university in the world. As you say we will not sleep, you will not sleep too.”
Commending the FCT police boss, Ben Igweh, the Minister said: “When you were posted to Port Harcourt, I knew what you did. When you were posted here, I was confident. Please do more on intelligence gathering.”
