Power sector: Minister charges stakeholders on efficient service delivery

Mamman made the call yesterday in Calabar during the first edition of the top management retreat for directors, chief executive officers of parastatals and agency heads of unit of federal ministry of works. He said the theme of the retreat; ‘Building Synergy for Effective Service Delivery in the Power Sector’ recognized the specific challenge of coordination and collaboration, which needed to be addressed positively. He urged participants to use the opportunity to reflect on their core values as a sector and ensure that they align with the fundamental core values of this administration.

Speaking earlier, Minister of State for Power, Goddy Jedy-Agba has called for the adoption of modern technology as very relevant working tools for functionality in the ministry. Jedy-Agba said the sector needs to improve on building its capacity on working relationship and computerize the ministry to work effectively with new technology.

He implored top management of agencies in the sector to draw up and implement a road map for the full computerization of the power ministry and its affairs.
