PR is about problem solving, says Sirajo

President, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Mukhtar Sirajo, has said that Public Relations (PR) practice is all about solving problems.

Speaking yesterday at the induction of 190 Lagos State public affairs officers as new members of NIPR, Sirajo noted that for practitioners to see the profession as a problem solving one, “they must first identify the problem to be solved.”

Urging the new inductees to be decent and honest if they hope to make a success of PR practice, he advised them to equip themselves for optimal performance by regularly updating their knowledge of PR.

Sirajo maintained that as PR practitioners, they were to mend and build relationships.

The permanent secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Information, Mrs. Modinat Ogunmola, commended NIPR for partnering with the state government to make the induction a success.
