
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Channels TV correspondent covering the National Assembly, Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe, as his Senior Special Assistant on Strategic Communications.
Besides, the Nigerian leader, yesterday, seconded her as Communications Adviser to President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission.
A statement by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, also named Fela Durotoye as Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Values & Social Justice, Fredrick Nwabufo (Senior Special Assistant, Public Engagement); Aliyu Audu (Special Assistant, Public Affairs) and Francis Adah Abah (Personal Assistant, Special Duties).
All appointees are to serve in the office of the President under the Media and Publicity Directorate, with full respect for tenets of the nation’s federal character principle and supremacy of merit.
The Nigerian leader, has, therefore, charged the new officials to uphold the highest standards of decorum and decency in their engagements with members of the public, as they advance the administration’s bid to renew the hope of Nigerians in a restructured economy and unified society that caters sufficiently to the needs of all.
