President names Wushishi new NECO registrar

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi as new Registrar/Chief Executive of the National Examinations Council (NECO).

The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, in a letter dated July 16, 2021, said the engagement, which is for an initial period of five years, took effect from the 12th of this month.

The Professor of Science Education and Niger State native was born on April 5, 1965.

He was a lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto, before transferring his services to the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna.

The appointee has held other positions in the education sector.

Until his new appointment, Wushishi was a Professor of Science Education (Chemistry) at FUT, Minna.
