President Tinubu has been fair to all ethnic, religious groups – Christian leaders

*Declares 40 days fasting For Nigeria
Religious leaders under the aegis of ethnic, religious groups, has commended the leadership style of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying that he has ensured inclusivity in the appointments and engagements made so far.
The Church leaders were particularly happy with the President on the choice of appointments so far, particularly the consideration that he has given to all religious and ethnic groups in Nigeria in making such appointments.
Speaking on behalf of the group yesterday in Abuja, the General Overseer of World Harvest Ministry, Archbishop Leonard Kawas, observed that few months to the elections, there was a high level of fear and anxiety among the people, particularly the Christian community, who were concerned with the decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to present Muslim-Muslim candidates for the office of the President, not considering the interest of the huge Christian community in Nigeria.
Kawas stated that the fear APC’s decision to present the Muslim-Muslim ticket was part of the Islamization agenda of the party, adding that from all indications, that fear was needless so far there is no sign of that, neither has anything indicated that it might happen anytime. Rather, we have seen inclusivity in the appointments and engagements of the President.
He said, “Evidently, the President has been impartial and just, without favouritism or discrimination, to all ethnic groups as well as different faiths in Nigeria. This was contrary to the fear of many Nigerians that he might choose to favour people of his faith, Muslims. This has also neutralized the fears and concerns of many people from the Christian faith, and also defeated the prophecy of some ‘prophets of doom’ who had predicted crisis and disintegration of Nigeria.”
The cleric, who disclosed that the National Solemn Assembly was organizing a one-day of praise, prayer and worship to thank God for His love and peace in Nigeria, noted that the forthcoming praise, prayer and worship service will be an opportunity to celebrate God and His obvious hands in the affairs of Nigeria, and will also be used to proclaim blessings and socioeconomic growth in Nigeria.
“It will be a three hours of praise, prayer and worship service. We will seek the face of God and also for His presence in the affairs of Nigeria. There would be good participation of our spiritual leaders who would intermittently release blessings and prophecies for us.”
While inaugurating the steering committee for the event, he challenged members of the committee to do all they can, through the help of God, to ensure that the event schedule for December 1, is a success.
Archbishop Kawas however declared a 40 days fasting and prayer for Nigeria beginning from October 20, to draw the presence of God in affairs of Nigeria.
