Presidential hopeful, Monye, pledges new Nigeria with ADC

Former Director-General of Delta State Economic Summit Group, Chukwuka Monye, has promised to return Nigeria to its glorious years, if elected president in 2023.

The self-styled innovation strategist made the pledge while declaring his interest in the country’s top seat on the platform of African Democratic Congress (ADC), recently, in Asaba, Delta State.

Monye, who declared his membership of the party alongside thousands of his supporters, said while he is fully qualified to take on the job and create a new Nigeria.

According to him, the ADC embodies inclusivity, accountability, justice and security among others, hence the choice of the party to drive his political ambition to the Presidential Villa next year.

The National Chairman of ADC, Chief Ralphs Nwosu; the state chairman, Joe Chukwu, among others received him.

Monye described ADC as the only political party that could deliver on security and welfare for all, who are seeking to return Nigeria to its glorious path of unity, economic and social progress, as well as dignity for all citizens, irrespective of age, background, ethnicity or religion.

On why he is contesting the number one seat in the country, Monye said: “Today marks a significant moment in our journey to a better Nigeria. Today, we witness a convergence of values and vision, a merging of strengths and passion and the emergence of a dynamic combination that is able is to deliver to us a new Nigeria – the Nigeria of our dreams, where everyone, young and old, is able to fulfil their potential.

“After extensive consultations across various parties and groups, and considering the reasons above, I am pleased to formally announce my membership of ADC, a party whose values and goals align with mine.

“In choosing a party, I considered many things, including integrity, people-building and excellence, all of which are elements that drive me. I am passionate about a New Nigeria. Therefore, in choosing a party, I chose a party that is passionate about restoring and defending the dignity of every Nigerian. ADC is committed to innovation and attracting passionate and progressive Nigerians. This party embodies inclusivity, accountability, justice, security and the welfare of women, youth and people living with disabilities.”
