Private schools owners defy strike
Private schools owners in the country said they were not part of the nationwide strike in which the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) called on schools to remain closed from midnight of Wednesday.
In a statement issued in Abuja by the National Secretary, National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Enyi Harbor, it said the association is not a member of the NLC) or Trade Union Congress (TUC), and as such, it was not part of the industrial action.
He directed all private schools to remain open and go about their legitimate duties without fear of molestation.
NAPPS said any form of harassment by any persons should be reported to security agencies for appropriate action.
