Former Minister of Information, Prof. Jerry Gana, yesterday, rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside other top political leaders.

Those, who joined the PDP at the North Central zonal congress of the party, holding in Makurdi, Benue State, were Barrister Humphrey Abah, Ambassador Mrs. Esther Audu and Mr. Adakole Ijogi.

They were received by the PDP leader in the zone, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State.

Recall that Gana left the PDP for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 2018 to contest the presidential election of 2019 under that platform.

Gana, who was a founding member of the party, speaking on behalf of the defectors, said PDP is poised to reclaim power in all the states of the North Central Zone currently being ruled by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Nigeria at large.

Meanwhile, voting in the zonal elective congress has been completed and delegates from various states, including, Kwara, Niger, Kogi, Nasarawa, Plateau, Benue and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja had opportunity to participate in the process.
