
The Vice Chancellor, Crawford University, Professor Reuben Jiya Kolo, has called on all members of the university academic and non-academic staff to align with his vision and mission to take the Ivory Tower up to higher pedestals; as year 2023 and 2024 academic session sets in.
The Vice Chancellor’s laudable objectives were made known in an “Extended Management Retreat” held recently at ASCON at Badagry in Lagos. The retreat was an avenue for the management and the participants, comprising Deans of Colleges, Directors, Heads of Departments and units as well as supporting ancillaries, to seek out way forward to improve and sustain the university academic services. The principal goal was centred on sharing the vision of the Vice Chancellor with the principal officers.
The event also afforded the team to assess the university’s achievements and exploits from its inception in 2005; and reengineer in order to building on the legacies of past Vice Chancellors.
The retreat was the first of its kind in the annals the school. It was directed at capacity building of the participants for improved service delivery and productivity; build trust, improve cordial relationships within members of the university community .
Facilitators at the retreat were Professors John Alabi, Isaac Gbenga Aladegbola, Patrick Yalokwu and Crawford University Registrar, Mr. Moses Itauma.
Staff members were enjoined to seek God’s guidance and blessing for good success and rewards.
