The Federal Government has been urged to give unfettered support to private universities, in order to develop the country.

Proprietor of Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Judge Bola Ajibola, who said this at the institution’s 10th convocation, also advocated that the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) be extended to the 62 private universities presently working for the country’s development.

He added that private universities are contributing immensely to the country’s growth and prosperity, as they are poised to achieve academic and moral excellence in the world, adding that their graduates are versatile in Information and Communication Technology

While speaking on the institution’s growth since its inception 12 years ago, he said its vision is to impart moral and academic education to its graduates.
