In a groundbreaking achievement for Nigerian innovation, RBetach, a tech startup by Reposebay LLC, has become the first Nigerian company to be incubated by Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) through its Digital Incubation Center (DIC).

Founded by Nigerian entrepreneur, Kelechi Abiri, RBetach is a forward-thinking enterprise software company delivering AI-powered human resource and compliance solutions to businesses in Nigeria, Qatar, and the United States. The startup’s selection into the DIC program marks a significant milestone in the global recognition of African-led technology ventures.

“This recognition is more than a milestone, it’s a signal that African-born innovation belongs on the global stage,” said Abiri, expressing excitement about representing Nigeria in Qatar’s fast-growing innovation space.

In addition to its DIC incubation, RBetach was recently inducted into the prestigious Talent Community of the Qatar Development Bank (QDB), a key network that fosters high-growth tech companies in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

RBetach’s growing influence in Qatar doesn’t stop there. The startup has also been appointed as a vendor for the country’s national Digital Transformation for SMEs initiative, led by the MCIT. This initiative aims to drive digital adoption among small and medium-sized enterprises across the nation.

Originally launched under Reposebay Human Resource Ltd in Nigeria, RBetach has supported over 2,000 businesses and empowered more than 5,000 professionals through its integrated HR and tech solutions. Its expansion into Qatar highlights a growing trend of African startups breaking into international markets with scalable, localised innovations.

Through its participation in Qatar’s tech ecosystem, RBetach now operates from the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Tower 1 in West Bay, as well as Al Nassr Tower B, Corniche — strategic locations that further embed the Nigerian firm into the heart of Middle Eastern digital transformation.

Industry experts suggest that RBetach’s entry into Qatar could pave the way for deeper collaboration between African and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) tech sectors, fostering innovation, investment, and shared growth.

As African startups continue to gain global traction, RBetach’s historic milestone serves as a powerful testament to the continent’s growing role in shaping the future of technology.
