The 2026 Economic Summit, organised by The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lagos Province 20, will hold on Saturday, March 21, at Christ The Lord Parish, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, featuring distinguished speakers and panellists from various sectors of Nigeria’s economy.
Themed “Positioned for Advantage in a Shifting Economy,” the summit is expected to attract policymakers, business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to explore strategies for economic growth, wealth creation, and sustainable development amid Nigeria’s evolving economic landscape. The summit allows both physical and online participation.
The host, Assistant Pastor in Charge of Region 11 and Pastor in Charge of Lagos Province 20, Tunde Netufo (FCA), reaffirmed the church’s commitment to empowering people economically through Christian Social Responsibility. He noted that the summit promotes economic literacy and informed dialogue, fostering resilience in navigating Nigeria’s future.
“The summit reflects the church’s broader mission to contribute meaningfully to national development and to help citizens understand how economic policies impact daily life. Our goal is to contribute to ongoing economic discourse and the overall well-being of the people,” Pastor Netufo said.
Keynote speaker Bismarck Rewane, renowned economist and financial analyst, will lead the summit, providing insights into Nigeria’s economy and strategic positioning.
The summit will include in-depth panel discussions on personal wealth creation, small and medium-scale enterprise (SME) development, and the impacts of taxation on individuals and businesses.
Sola Adesakin, Chartered Accountant and Wealth Coach, will speak on personal wealth and financial empowerment. She is founder of Smart Stewards Financial Advisory Limited and Smart Stewards Advisory LLC, advising clients on structured wealth-building strategies.
Chidi Okpaluba, Social Entrepreneur, will share insights on SME development and youth economic inclusion, with over 20 years of experience driving impact across multiple enterprises and initiatives.
Nike James, Partner, Tax Financial and Tax Risk Management at KPMG Nigeria, will provide expert perspectives on taxation, including new federal policies and their implications for individuals and businesses.
Panel sessions will be moderated by Uwa Osa Oboh, Principal at African Capital Alliance, with Ayo Mairo-Ese, award-winning broadcaster at Arise News Channel, serving as summit anchor.
