The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Tuesday has ordained wife of national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu, Senator Oluremi Tinubu as a pastor.

Her ordination took place at the Old Arena of RCCG, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway where the church is currently having its 66th annual convention themed “Dominion”.

To become a pastor in RCCG, one must have gone through preparatory stages of Baptismal and workers in training class. The candidate must have completed a one-year course at the church’s School of Disciples and consistently participating in church activities and programmes. The person must also be a worker that has served in different or specific position in the parish he attends and recommended by senior pastors for ordination.

Her colleague in the Nigerian Senate, Gbenga Ashafa tweeted “I congratulate Your Excellency, Distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on your ordination as a Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

“It is my prayer that Almighty God will continue to strengthen you as you serve the Nation, humanity and in His Vineyard.” Ashafa said.

Before her ordination, Oluremi Tinubu has been a staunch believer of the christian fate regardless of her husband, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu who belongs to the Muslim fate.

Oluremi Tinubu once said at a television programme in Lagos that her relationship with the former governor of Lagos state is the “will of God” for her life.
