Refugee agency distributes agricultural tools, pesticides, others to IDPs in Bauchi

The National Commission for Refugees Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) has distributed agricultural equipment, pesticides, seedlings, and insecticides to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Bauchi State.

Speaking at the flagging off of the distribution of the equipment yesterday, Federal Commissioner, NCFRMI, Basheer Mohammed said the relief materials donated was is in line with the commitment of the President to ensuring that the plight of the displaced persons is given utmost priority and attention wherever they are in any part of the country.

Mohammed, who was represented by Akintunde Oyasanya, said the commission was deeply touched by the circumstance and conditions the IDPs find themselves which he said was not their own making but as a result of activities of bandits, insurgents and violent clashes.

According to a statement signed by Head of Press in the commission, Abdul Onu, he added that the federal, state governments and stakeholders are continuously working towards finding a lasting solution to the problems that brought about this displacement and disruption of life.

In his remarks, Secretary to Bauchi State Government, Alhaji ShehuSabiu Ningi commended the commission for the donation made to IDPs.
