Resort plans maiden food festival

Omu Resort, a family destination resort in Lagos, is set to hold its first Annual Food Festival, to celebrate diverse culinary experiences in Nigeria.

The Food festival themed, “Explore Your Taste Buds”, scheduled to hold at the Resort, would run from 23rd to 24th December.

The resort is home to 21 attractions, including a zoo. Visitors are also able to engage in activities such as quad biking, kayaking, go carting, sea world, a water park, blade skating, and paint balling among others.

Speaking on the festival, the Resort Assistant General Manager, Moji Ibhaze, said the event aims to bring different cultures including food and dances together, adding that guests would learn about different cultures not just their foods.

According to him, the event would feature a culturally diverse menu consisting of Chinese, Continental, Senegalese, Nigerian and Indian foods. Ibhaze said by holding the food festival, the resort is expanding the frontier of tourism in Nigeria, while also celebrating its unity and diversity. According to him, activities slated for the event include traditional dances, the food festival as well as other various activities the resort has to offer.
