Rotary International District 9111 organises leadership training seminar in Lagos

Rotary International District 9111 is set to host its yearly District Team Learning Seminar (DTLS) from Saturday, March 1 to Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Orchid Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.

The seminar is designed to equip key Rotary leaders, including assistant governors, zonal coordinators, action champions, and committee chairmen, with the skills needed to effectively serve in the 2025-2026 Rotary year.

According to District Governor-elect Rotarian, Henry Akinyele, the training will provide leadership and strategic development for incoming district leaders.

He also confirmed that Dr. Wole Kukoyi, the 2024-2025 District Governor and Chief Medical Director of Ace Medicare Clinic, will officially declare the seminar open.

The DTLS Coordinator, Past Assistant Governor George Ikpekhia, revealed that the training will feature esteemed facilitators, including former Managing Director of Critall Hope Aluminum Plc and Past District Governor, Remi Bello; District Learning Facilitator and First Female District Governor, Omotunde Lawson; Managing Director of Shab Company Ltd and Past District Governor, Patrick Ikheloa.

Others are the Managing Director of Elly Tom Consulting and Past District Governor, Kola Shodipo; Vice Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, and District Governor Nominee-Designate, Samuel Ayetutu and the Chief Medical Director of Aniyun Hospital and Past District Governor, Wale Ogunbadejo.

He added that the theme for 2025-2026 is unite for good, and participants are to be trained on teamwork, effective communication skills, developing action plans for achievement of goals, and setting of goals.”
