The Governor of Rotary International, District 9125, Ayoola Oyedokun, has disclosed plans by the club to mobilise over one million dollars to deliver mega projects to rural communities across the country.
Oyedokun who stated this yesterday, after his installation as the 13th Governor of the foundation, said part of the fund would be channeled towards the improvement of cancer diagnostic centres nationwide.
This, the governor noted was to ensure that citizens have unhindered access to diagnosis as well as treatment.
Noting that it has been the culture of the foundation to see to the improvement of lives of citizens, particularly at the community level, Oyedokun stressed the need for mobilisation of more members into the club to impact more lives.
He pledged to uphold fairness, truthfulness as well as transparency in financial management of Rotary.
On her part, the immediate past Governor of Rotary, Jumoke Bamigboye, who urged the new administration to consolidate on her achievements, identified COVID-19 pandemic as the greatest challenge of the new executives.
