Middle Belt United Assembly (MBUA) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to flush out spoilers from his government, starting from the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami.

In a statement, yesterday, in Kaduna, the President of MBUA, Moses Aji, noted that many controversies and allegations hanging on Malami’s neck were too many and weighty to be ignored, considering the sensitive nature of his office.

Aji said, Buhari leaving the AGF to continue in office will destroy his legacies, urging the President to shop for a more competent, reliable and, above all, a man or woman of high integrity to appoint as new AGF.

The group cited recent invasion of the Abuja residence of Supreme Court Justice, Mary Odili, in which Malami was fingered.

“Although, the AGF denied his involvement in the invasion of Justice Mary Odili’s residence in Abuja; few days later, one of the arrested suspects confessed being Malami’s consultant.

“There is no smoke without fire. Malami has been accused of many wrong.”

It is now time for Buhari to replace him with a more reliable person to work for the country.

“Buhari was voted for by the majority of Nigerians to fix our problems, but things are getting worse and out of hand. We observed that most of Buhari’s appointees are not helping him. These appointees are for their personal interests and not the interest of Nigerians. The economy and security are grounded. The economy and security are in terrible shape. While commending the President for his infrastructure drive, we advise him to urgently restructure his cabinet and bring in good hands to help him fix country,” the group said.
