Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has advocated enduring peace and unity for greater social, economic, and political development in Kano amid conflicting interest.
In a sallah message on live telecaster Friday, Yusuf urged residents to sustain the teaches and virtues of resilience, kindness, self consciousness and patience learned during the 30 days of Ramadan.
The Governor however assured commitment to deliver good governance and quality leadership in the state just has he insisted, Kano First Agenda remain top of priority above any selfish influence.
He called for patience and unity among ethnic and religious groups in the state while reiterating his administration’s mandate to ensure unity, peace and protection of lives and property in the state.
Meanwhile, two major congressional eid Fitir prayers were led separately by 15th and 16th emirs of Kano amid the resurgence of protracted emirate tussle.
While Emir Muhamnadu Sanusi II led thousands of Muslims at the popular Kofar-Mata Eid ground, hundreds of worshipers joined Aminu Ado Bayero at the Nassarawa mini palace to observe the two units prayers to mark the end of Ramadan.
In his sermon after leading worshipers, Emir Sanusi urged the faithful to continue demonstrating discipline, patience, charity, and devotion beyond Ramadan, noting that these values are essential for building a morally upright society.
He also called on government at all levels to prioritize security, stressing that peace and stability remain critical for development and the well-being of citizens.
Governor Yusuf, government officials, traditional leaders, and dignitaries, were among the congregation the observed the Eid prayers behind Emir Sanusi at the Kofar-Mata prayer ground in Kano State.
