Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his 68th birthday.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his 68th birthday.

Sanwo-Olu, in a statement, described the former governor of Lagos State as a pathfinder, a visionary leader and a rare mentor, who has contributed in no small measure to the socio-political and economic development of Lagos and Nigeria as a whole.

Sanwo-Olu said: “What do you say about a man of many parts on the occasion of his birthday? A visionary leader with exceptional abilities in various areas of human endeavours. Indeed his achievements are almost impossible to capture in a single book, not to say in a mere statement.

‘’Asiwaju’s strength lies in his firm belief in a united and indivisible Nigeria that is without religious and ethnic bigotry. This has enabled him to provide the right leadership, make the right decisions in the overall interest of the country most of the time.

‘’It is no news that the story of Nigeria’s democracy today cannot be told without Asiwaju’s name boldly written in gold.’’

He, therefore, wished Asiwaju a birthday full of joy.

Also, Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, felicitated with Tinubu on the occasion of his 68th birthday.

Obasa, in a statement yesterday, said: “It is with great pleasure and joy that I join millions of your followers and admirers to felicitate with you on the occasion of your 68th birthday celebration today, Sunday, March 29, 2020.

“Indeed, you are a great leader, who in the words of William Shakespare, achieved greatness through dint of hard work, perseverance, foresight, humility and generosity.

“You are a rare leader, who is fair and just to his associates and followers alike. I will forever be grateful to you for the justice done to me on two occasions during primary elections even without knowing me one-on-one.

“I pray that Allah in His infinite mercy grants you many more years in good health, prosperity and happiness to enable you fulfill your unalloyed service to humanity.”
