Saraki, Campbell, others parley to end kidnapping
Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, will meet with experts tomorrow to explore solution to the spate of kidnapping and other forms of criminality in the country.
Organised at the instance of the Grow Nigeria Conversation (GNC), the non-partisan, solution-driven, real-time dialogue series promises to be an all-engaging monthly platform.
Speakers at the event convened by The African Politeia Institute (TAPI) and moderated by Adopt-A-Goal for Development Initiative include former United States Ambassador to Nigeria, John Campbell; Intelligence Expert and Associate Fellow of Africa Programme, Chatham House, Matthew Page; and Founder, Bulwark Intelligence, Tanwa Ashiru.
Others include the Managing Director of Beacon Consulting Limited, Nnamdi Obasi; security risk management and intelligence specialist, Kabir Adamu; member, Triple-E Media, Nabilah Usman; and lead partner at SBM Intelligence, Cheta Nwanze.
GNC, envisioned by Saraki, was designed to bring pragmatic authenticity to the people’s concerns by engaging young people, experts, professionals and anyone with quality ideas in diagnosing societal problems and offering workable and sustainable answers.
Dr. Ariyo-Dare Atoye of the Adopt A Goal For Development Initiative expressed hope that the conversation would water the ground for the germination of ideas and solutions that can end of kidnapping and other crimes.
Atoye explained that each session of the dialogue would discuss possible people-centric solutions to the myriad challenges confronting almost every sector in Nigeria.
