The Chief Executive Officer of Onyx Data Systems, John Azuka, has emphasized the importance of leveraging smart digital solutions to drive business growth in the modern era. Speaking on the evolving digital landscape, he highlighted how businesses can scale efficiently by adopting innovative technologies, data-driven strategies, and automation.
Azuka, who founded Onyx Data Systems Limited in 2012, described the company as a product-led organization dedicated to developing cutting-edge digital solutions for businesses across Africa.
With a primary focus on Enterprise and SME companies, Onyx Data Systems has addressed inefficiencies in software architecture within the medical, manufacturing, and digital industries.
Adebayo Samuel, the Chief Technology Officer & Technical Product Manager of Onyx Data Systems, also noted that discussions with potential investors and strategic partners are currently underway to facilitate this next phase of growth.
“Our expansion into Europe and America is a strategic move to bring our expertise and innovative solutions to a global audience. Having gained significant traction in Germany and Nigeria, we are confident that EvatPro can revolutionize how businesses operate across different markets.”
An analysis of EvatPro’s financial records shows that it generated N14.5 million in revenue in the first quarter of 2023, followed by N12.8 million in the second quarter. By the fourth quarter of the same year, revenue had surged to N50 million, and by the third quarter of 2024, the figure stood at N27.8 million. Before its relaunch, the product had generated only N6 million throughout 2022.
Today, Onyx Data Systems has grown into a multi-million-dollar company with offices in Europe and Africa. The company has its head office in Germany, a branch office in Lagos, Nigeria, and a strong presence across the African continent. Azuka noted that Onyx is continuously shaping the future of technology through innovation and the development of impactful, scalable solutions.
In a statement made available to newsmen, Azuka said the growth followed the strategic relaunch of EvatPro in January 2023, after its initial development in March 2022. According to him, the software has become a key driver of digital transformation for businesses seeking to automate their operations and embrace data-driven decision-making.
He said, “Businesses that fail to embrace digital transformation risk being left behind. At Onyx Data Systems, we are committed to developing innovative digital products like EvatPro, which not only streamline operations but also future-proof businesses against evolving market challenges. Our goal is to ensure companies thrive by making data-driven decisions and automating their core functions.”
Designed as an all-in-one platform, EvatPro offers a range of tools, including customer management, sales tracking, financial ledger insights, call handling, and appointment scheduling. The software’s integrated approach has enabled businesses across sectors such as real estate, production, finance, and fintech to improve operational efficiency and sustain long-term growth.
Azuka attributed the leap to the platform’s robust functionalities and increasing market adoption, which he described as a clear indication of the solution’s relevance and scalability. Beyond revenue growth, EvatPro has also recorded a steady rise in its customer base. From just 15 onboarded clients in the first quarter of 2023, the figure grew to 56 by the third quarter of 2024. According to Azuka, this trajectory reflects the growing confidence of businesses in digital tools that drive operational excellence.
As part of its broader growth strategy, Onyx Data Systems is now focusing on international expansion. With established footprints in Nigeria and Germany, the company is eyeing new markets in Europe and North America.
To support this ambition, the company is preparing for a Series A funding round aimed at scaling the platform’s features, accelerating customer acquisition, and broadening its global reach. According to Samuel, part of the funding will be directed towards integrating more advanced AI capabilities and industry-specific solutions.
Azuka is also the founder of Uhland Systems, a company he established in 2020, where he currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, he drives the company’s technological direction and leads a team of software engineers to develop world-class solutions that address critical challenges in society.
He expressed confidence that EvatPro has what it takes to redefine business management on a global scale, adding that more information about the software is available on the company’s official website.
