A gubernatorial hopeful in Adamawa State, Emma Bello of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has vowed to upstage the All Progressives Party (APC) led government in Adamawa State.

He said the SDP enjoys massive grassroots support in Adamawa to form the next government in the state in 2019.

Bello in Abuja on the side of his declaration for the SDP said the masses of the people in Adamawa State are self-motivated to effect a positive change in 2019.

Bello, who was a member of the House of Representatives in the sixth National Assembly, said: “Our purpose is not power for self-aggrandisement but our pursuit is the reins of administration in the state to enable us provide to our people a sense of good governance.”

He explained that he opted to pitch his tent with the SDP at this time because it represents the philosophy, ideals and fundamental political positions I believe in and have moulded my politics all these years.

He said he is comfortable with the manifesto of the SDP, saying he will implement the blueprint of the party when he becomes the governor.
This will not be Bello’s first attempt at the governorship of the state.
