Seamoriow Football Club made an impressive entrance into the Nationwide League One (NLO) with a dominant 3-0 victory over Orin FC, underlining their readiness to compete at a higher level.
The Inspired Boys, as they are known, opened the scoring early in the match through Abass Adeniyi, who found the net in the 11th minute. Adeniyi, a graduate of the Seamoriow Football Academy, was recently promoted to the senior team and made his mark with a composed finish.
The side continued to dictate play, and their efforts were rewarded again in the 38th minute when Salako Paul doubled the lead following a period of sustained pressure and fluid build-up.
Seamoriow sealed the win late in the game when another academy product, Babatunde Ismail, struck in the 83rd minute to round off a commanding performance in their first-ever NLO outing.
Head Coach Gold Busayo, who assumed his role ahead of the season, has so far overseen a disciplined and tactically sound side. The defence, under his direction, has remained solid, maintaining a clean sheet that reflects his early impact on the squad.
The result not only signals a strong start to Seamoriow’s campaign but also showcases the depth and quality of their youth development system. Two of the three goals came from players who recently progressed through the club’s academy, reinforcing Seamoriow’s commitment to nurturing local talent.
With confidence high and their development model proving effective, Seamoriow FC look set to be one of the teams to watch this season in the Nationwide League One.
