After a long wait, fast-rising singer, Oluyole Oluwaseun, professionally known as Sean Dampte, has announced his much anticipated debut album. Dubbed Lagos Friday, London Monday, the album is set for a summer release, around July this year.

According to Dampte, the album is based on “my lifestyle that many fans would want to enjoy.”

The 11-track album is inspired by the singer’s travels to Nigeria last year, as he visited the country 14 times from his UK base. For him, “these visits saw me landing in Lagos on Friday and before you know it, I am back in London on Monday. Hence the album title.”

He added, “I have never disappointed anyone before when it comes to my music. I have also always made my sound mine. So, everyone can expect the kind of great music and sound that we have come to know from Sean Dampte. The slogan ‘Ariwo Ko Ni Music’ is enshrined in all of my music as I believe that music, especially our Afro-sound is to be enjoyed rather than suffocating.”

Speaking about the project, the singer’s publicist, Alashi Eniola, popularly known as Chazy said, “having served his fans with tip of the Awoodah EP series and several hit singles, the ‘PePe’ crooner is finally set to fully unleash himself as the Awoodah king in what is known to be his first ever music album.”

The first single off the album will be released on May 11, 2022.
