Reuniting over 6,000 below five years children with their families is to top the agenda of the second Regional Security Summit (RSS) for West African states holding in Abuja this Saturday, May 14.

A development centered project, the RSS seeks the support of member states and development partners in efforts to rescue alive the abducted Chibok schoolgirls. It also focuses on information gathering in the control and prevention of trafficking in illicit drugs and light weapons.

This was contained in a pre-event statement signed on behalf of the summit secretariat by Media Coordinator, Mrs. H. Osuagwu.

Due to the escalation of terrorist activities by Boko Haram insurgents, leaders of states in the sub-region with the support of the French government converged on Paris on May 17, 2014, for the first RSS.
