Service seeks N’Assembly support to tackle fire disasters
The Federal Fire Service (FFS), yesterday, sought support of the National Assembly to tackle the recurring fire disasters in Nigeria.
Acting Controller-General, Samson Karebo, who spoke to reporters in Abuja, also decried the dearth of fire-fighting personnel.
He restated the resolve of his outfit to free deployment of officers to any station built and equipped by any organisation or individual.
Karebo hinted that the organisation had established a fire marshal unit to avail Nigerians the opportunity to volunteer in the area of fire prevention, fighting and rescue.
