Shettima launches World Bank-funded project in Nasarawa

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Friday performed the groundbreaking ceremony for a World Bank-funded State Action on Business Enabling Reforms (SABER) project in Nasarawa State.
According to a statement by the Spokesman/Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications (Office of the Vice President), Stanley Nkwocha, the project includes a one-stop investment centre and multi-door court in Lafia, the state capital.
Nkwocha added that the ceremony was part of events marking Shettima’s one-day state visit to Nasarawa State.
Following the groundbreaking ceremony, the Vice President oversaw the distribution of relief materials to flood victims in affected Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Nasarawa.
“He also presided over the presentation of tractors and distribution of Jangwa Paddi Rice to 13 LGAs, sourced from the pioneering Nasarawa Rice Farm project,” Nkwocha said.
“The Vice President praised Governor Sule’s exemplary leadership, noting that his outstanding leadership qualities have fostered peaceful coexistence among the state’s diverse ethnic groups while transforming and enhancing agricultural productivity throughout the region.”
