Six die, one injured in Ogun auto crash

Six people, yesterday, died, while one sustained injury in an auto crash that occurred around Kara turning along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway corridor of Ogun State
    
The crash involved a Toyota car marked LRG165AA, when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to excessive speed.
 
Spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), in the state, Superintendent Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta
  
Okpe said out of the eight occupants (six female and two male), only one person survived with injury, while the rest died on the spot.
  


She said that five out of the six, who  lost their lives to the accident were female and the other male.
   
Okpe  said that the injured victim had been taken to Redeem Hospital  for medical treatment, while the remains of the deceased were deposited at Idera Hospital morgue, Sagamu.
  
Meanwhile, the State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Mr. Umar Galadunci, has commiserated with families of victims of the crash.
  
He enjoined them to contact the FRSC command in Mowe for details of the crash and reclaim property recovered  from the victims at the crash scene.
