The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has felicitated the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, on his 74th birthday.
In a statement issued yesterday by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo described Bishop Ezeokafor as a committed servant of God and humanity whose decades of priestly service have made significant contributions to the Catholic Church and society.
Aburime said the Governor acknowledged the Bishop’s journey since his priestly ordination in 1984, his service as Auxiliary Bishop of Awka Diocese from 2007 to 2011, and his continued leadership of the Diocese.
According to Aburime, Soludo described Bishop Ezeokafor as “a respected spiritual father, a consistent advocate of peace, unity, and development, and a steady moral voice whose leadership continues to enrich the faith community and the larger society in Anambra State and beyond.”
The Governor further said the Bishop’s life and service remained a testimony to the possibilities that come with dedication to God and humanity.
Soludo wished Bishop Ezeokafor a happy birthday, praying that God would grant him robust health, strength, wisdom and grace for many more impactful years in the service of God and society.
