Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri, will lead other dignitaries to the 50th anniversary of the National Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), meant to celebrate the body’s five decades of aiding the growth of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
Others billed for the event holding on August 14 in Lagos are the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Bayo Ojulari; Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission; CEOs of major oil companies, NAPE past presidents and founding members; professional associations’ executive members, among others.
The programme would include a high-level panel session, a golden jubilee gala night, and award presentation.
NAPE President, Johnbosco Uche, during a media briefing in Lagos yesterday, said as the foremost body of geoscientists and petroleum exploration professionals in Nigeria, his association was proud to share its significant milestones, initiatives, and forward-looking vision for the energy sector.
He said the 50th-anniversary celebration would provide a strategic platform to define the framework for rejuvenating the Niger Delta Basin.
