Stakeholders urge Isoko lawyers to make impact in legal profession

Lawyers of Isoko extraction, Delta State, have been called upon to unite and forge a formidable vanguard that will make an impact in the legal profession and advance the cause of Isoko nation.

Stakeholders from Isoko in the legal profession made the call at the inaugural meeting of Isoko lawyers in Oleh, Isoko South Local Council.

The inaugural meeting, which attracted lawyers from all walks of life, including Secretary to Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Service, Chief Mike Edegware; past Chairman of NBA, Warri Branch, Michael A. Asugo; Vice President of Isoko Development Union, Desmond Ogbaudu; past and present leaders of the Bar in the state and retired members of the Bench of Isoko extraction, is to bring lawyers of Isoko nationality at home and Diaspora together to cross-fertilise ideas to improve the lot of Isoko lawyers and the Isoko nation in general.

Chairman of the forum, Mr. Michael Asugo, said the forum, which was conceptualised in 2017 by the founders, was a right step to assist members to take their rightful place in the legal profession and advance the cause of justice.
