Follwoing the verdict of an Abakaliki High Court that nullified the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries of June 4 and 5, 2022, coupled with the Enugu Appeal Court verdict on the same matter, the AnyiChuks Campaign Organisation, yesterday, called on Senator Obinna Ogba to obey court ruling and stop parading himself as Ebonyi State PDP gubernatorial candidate.

Ogba had, on June 21, 2022, approached the Court of Appeal and prayed to be joined in the case at the Federal High Court, Abakaliki, so as to file his appeal. But the appeal court ruled otherwise.

In a statement in Abakaliki, the Director, Media and Publicity of the campaign organisation, Chief Abia Onyike, said Ogba’s conduct is not only sacrilegious but an act of contemptuous effrontery against the judicial authorities, warning him to obey the ruling.

He noted that Ogba’s continuous disobedience of the orders of the court shows he is an anarchist and an anti-democratic element, adding that their lawyers will not hesitate to file contempt proceedings against him if these acts of brigandage are not halted forthwith.
