‘Teenage pregnancy hits 17% high in Cross River’

Aids Healthcare Foundation, Nigeria, has raised the alarm over high rate of teenage pregnancy in Cross River State.

The Country Director, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Nigeria, Dr. Echey Ijezie, who disclosed this yesterday in Calabar during a sensitisation/awareness seminar for secondary school students as part of activities to mark this year’s International Day of the Girl-Child, stated that teenage pregnancy has hit 17 per cent high in the state.

He said the prevalent rate runs across children.
