Though casualty figures could not be ascertained at press time, a source in the community said one of the victims of the attack was the APC stalwart in Aribi.
“We lost our Ward Chairman, Illiya Auta, during the raid. The people in this community are still waiting in agony to hear if the bandits would call to know the condition of the people they took away,” he said.
Kaduna has been on the radar as a result of killings and kidnapping by terrorists. The most recent was Sunday’s kidnap of a woman and her daughter in Kachia Local Council.
At the time of filing the report, there was no official reaction from the party, state government or police.
Besides, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, could not pick up several calls put across to him by The Guardian for reaction.
