There’s enough excitement for youths in church, says Olukoya
The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Worldwide, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, has asserted that Nigerian youths do not need to go outside the church to find musical and entertainment excitement.
In his brief remarks at the first ever Mountain Top Mega Concert, organised by MFM and held Sunday evening at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos, Olukoya said that music can be an indicator of how far or close one is to God, as he went biblical, citing the three categories of the archangels, Gabriel, Michael and Lucifer, as heads of the messengers, warriors and worshippers respectively.
However, because of the beauty of worship songs, Lucifer is so jealous when Christians worship God, he said.According to him, the three and half hours performance by different praise bands, groups and soloists, all of MFM ministries, was just twenty per cent of what the church has to offer, musically, assuring that these musicians and singers that could not perform at the first edition, because of time, will perform at the next edition of the concert.
Olukoya and his wife, Pastor Sade, both choristers in their youth, were the hosts of the event and commended the excited audience, which craved for more acts, for taking time out to watch the concert and pointed out that all the performers at the event are Nigerians, so the country is endowed with talented youths, who are only waiting for the window of opportunity to display their talents.
