Tragedy struck yesterday morning when a container-laden truck lost control and fell on a commercial tricycle at Takie Junction of Ogbomoso, Oyo State, at about 9:30 a.m., leaving three people dead on the spot.

An eyewitness told newsmen that the articulated vehicle lost control while navigating a bend, causing the container to tumble and fall on the tricycle, also known as Keke Marwa. Security agents made frantic efforts to remove the container from the road to avert further accidents and restore traffic flow in the area.

They urged motorists to exercise caution while approaching the affected section of the road. In another incident, suspected thieves robbed some victims of a road accident that occurred in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

The Guardian learnt that the victims were involved in a road crash at Oolo in Ogbomoso on Monday night. The bus was coming from Oore in Ondo State before the accident occurred at Oolo, while some injured victims were rushed to hospitals for treatment.
