
Leaders and stakeholders in the North Central geo-political zone have planned a grand reception in honour of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume.
Two former heads of state, General Yakubu Gowon and General Abdulsalam Abubakar are part of the reception party slated for next Friday at the International Conference Centre, Abuja being anchored by the North Central Governors’ Forum, North Central People’s Forum and Committee of Friends of the SGF.
Expected to grace the occasion also are President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who will be the Special Guest of Honor, state governors, North Central elders, traditional and religious leaders, ministers, captains of the industry, friends and family of the SGF
In preparation for the grand event, members of the Central Planning Committee led Arch Aliyu Oseze, paid a visit to Akume in his office to brief him of the activities lined up by the people of the North Central zone to celebrate one of their illustrious sons.
Also on the delegation were Mr. Ezekiel Gomos, Bisi Abioye, Maureen Agbo, Hajia Larai Kolo, Kabir Ajanah, Ambassador Mabdul, Chief Kanayo Okoye, and David Iorhemba.
Akume, in his remarks, expressed delight that his home and region are celebrating him. Akume, the former Governor of Benue State, former Senator and former Minister was appointed by Tinubu immediately after being sworn – in as President and Commander – in – Chief of Nigerian Armed Forces.
