Tinubu has all it takes to rule Nigeria, says Obasa

Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Mudashiru Obasa, has said that anyone who succeeds in meeting expectation as governor of the state is sure of having what it takes to rule Nigeria successfully.

Obasa, who currently champions the mobilisation of the South-West and other parts of the country in support of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, spoke in Badagry, yesterday, when he commissioned a block of six classrooms built at the Ajara Comprehensive Senior High School by Setonji David, a lawmaker representing Badagry Constituency II at the State Assembly.

“Let us support our own and be vocal with it. Let us support Tinubu. We will continue to support our leader and we must continue to support our governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, because we have no doubt that he will continue to deliver.”

The Speaker also urged government at all levels to consider prioritising education in the country, saying: “Any nation that has the hope of overcoming its challenges and competing at the international level must take the issue of education seriously.

“We should learn from this and contribute to educational development no matter how little.
“Let us support our representative.”

He commended members of the House of Assembly and stressed the need to allow lawmakers serve and gain more experience on the job.

“All the lawmakers in the Lagos State House of Assembly are good representatives. Sending them back as representatives is an advantage.

“This is my fifth term in the Assembly, and I became a Speaker in the fourth term. I want you to continue to support the people representing Badagry in the Assembly,” he further said.

David appreciated the people for giving him the opportunity to serve. saying: “During my visits, I discovered that many of the schools in the constituency have inadequate classrooms, which was why I decided to provide these six classrooms for this school.

“I have facilitated many projects to the constituency, which include provision of boreholes, construction of roads, giving out GCE forms and providing employment opportunities for some youths in Badagry.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Layode, representing Badagry Constituency I, who urged well-meaning Nigerians to support educational initiatives, said: “We want to urge corporate bodies to get involved in things that have to do with education.”
