President Bola Tinubu has ordered investigation into the cause of boat accidents in Niger and Adamawa states.nHe also condoled with the families of the victims in the recent boat mishaps in Mokwa Local Council of Niger State and Fufore Local Council of Adamawa State, which tragically claimed many lives, including children. 
  
While expressing solidarity with the governments and people of the two states, who swiftly mobilised emergency response teams and volunteers to assist those affected by the incidents, the President wished the survivors speedy recovery.
  
Tinubu further directed law enforcement agencies, maritime and transportation safety authorities, among others, to collaborate in identifying the root of the unfortunate and preventable disasters.
  
In the statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, yesterday, the President underscored his commitment to holding government agencies accountable for any regulatory or safety lapse and further instructed a comprehensive review of safety measures and a strict enforcement of existing laws on boating activities in the country.
  
He assured the affected families and communities of the government’s continued support and his commitment to the prevention of such tragedies from occurring in the future.
