Tinubu to announce cabinet anytime within 60 days after inauguration, says Faleke

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, James Faleke, has said Bola Ahmed Tinubu will announce his cabinet within 60 days after his inauguration as President of Nigeria.

Faleke, who was the APC’s Presidential Campaign Council Secretary, stated this on Monday in an interview with Channels Television at the Eagle Square, venue of the inauguration.

“Of course, within 60 days, that’s what the law says. He can announce anytime but I just know he must do it within 60 days,” he said.

When questioned whether he would like to be part of President Tinubu’s cabinet, the lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, said it is the prerogative of the APC powerbroker to choose members of his cabinet.

Meanwhile, Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola sworn in Bola Tinubu as president of Nigeria and Kashim Shettima as vice president.

Justice Ariwoola administered the oath of office on Tinubu and Shettima at Eagles Square in Abuja on Monday.

Present at the swearing in ceremony was are Tinubu’s predecessors including Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan.

Tinubu’s wife, Remi; Shettima’s wife, Nana as well as Buhari’s wife, Aisha also witnessed the oath-taking ceremony.

Also present at the event include the Prime Minister of Gabon, Billy By-Nze, President of the Republic of Cote D’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara; Ghana President, Nana Akufo-Addo; and Rwanda President, Paul Kagame.
