George Uboh Whistleblowers Network (GUWN), has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to direct law enforcement agencies to collaborate with whistleblowers.

Speaking yesterday in Abuja, chairman of the organization, Dr. George Uboh, emphasized the importance of the collaboration in tracing and recovering stolen funds.

Dr. Uboh also urged President Tinubu to reinforce and implement the whistleblower policy introduced during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

He stressed the need for an independent office, free from any ministry’s influence, to be led by an individual with a deep understanding of whistleblowing principles and a commitment to protect and compensate whistleblowers.

This appeal aimed to fostering a more effective partnership between whistleblowers, activists and law enforcement agencies, which will enable them to work together in solving crimes and recovery of stolen funds.
