Traders want Olubadan to intervene in Ogunpa market dispute

Monarch calls for caution
Traders in Ogunpa Market, under the auspices of Ogunpa Labelabe Traders Association, yesterday, urged the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, to intervene in the crisis at the market to avert bloodshed.

Chairman of the association, Mr. Taiwo Adegunwa, in a save-our-soul message, called for the monarch’s intervention.

Responding, Oba Balogun urged parties to ensure peace, noting that the involvement of the palace on the issue at hand should be honoured and respected.

The monarch said a committee, headed by the Ekerin Olubadan-designate, High Chief Hamidu Ajibade, had been saddled with the responsibility of mediating among the parties involved.
