A driver, truck conductor, and other road users narrowly escaped death when a 40-ft container-laden vehicle overturned yesterday.The incident happened at the Odo-Iyalaro Bridge, Ojota, Lagos.

In response to distress calls via the 767/112 Toll-Free lines, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) activated its Tiger Response Team from the Command and Control Centre, C3, Alausa.

Initial investigations indicate that the truck (registration number unknown) experienced a mechanical failure in motion, specifically brake failure. This caused the truck to lose control, collide with the culvert, and overturn, obstructing traffic on both sides of the bridge. No casualty or injury was recorded in the accident.
