Soldiers of the Operation Lafiya Dole in Gwoza have foiled an attempt by a suicide bomber to visit mayhem on the people but lost one soldier in the process.

A statement issued by the spokesman of the Army, Col. Sani Usman said the target of the suspected suicide bombers was a military location in Gwoza, before they were spotted and taken out by a vigilant sentry.

The statement implied that a set of suspected terrorists and another suicide bomber, after seeing their accomplice taken out, attacked the location again, but were over powered and their arms recovered.
