Tsav blames country’s misfortunes on ‘Dead Woods’ in politics
Erstwhile Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, has attributed societal challenges facing the country to the existence of some “dead woods,” both in military and politics, urging them to leave the stage for younger ones.
Tsav, who made the statement yesterday, advised the older generation to train the younger ones to take over the realm of affairs in the country.
He said: “All these politicians are the same. They move like the wind. When the wind blows from the West, they run to the East; when it blows from the East, they run to the West. There is no politics of integrity. People decamp to see what they can get for themselves. That is very unfortunate indeed. You can’t remain in power forever. We want peace. If there is no peace, there will be violence everywhere.”
