Two die, seven injured in Ogun autocrash
Two people were killed while seven others were injured yesterday in a multiple ghastly auto crash at the old tollgate on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Sango, Ogun State.
The accident which occurred around 11:30 am involved four vehicles, a Volkswagen Bus with registration number KTU 952 XY; Black Toyota Highlander jeep FKJ 505 DP; Toyota Corolla EKY 556 ES and Dangote Truck with no number and two Bajaj Boxer Motorcycles, AAB 404 WL and GBE 010QV.
According to the Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the suspected cause of the accident was brake failure on the part of the truck, which rammed into the other vehicles.
State Commander, FRSC, Clement Oladele told The Guardian that while the injured victims were taken to Ota General Hospital, the corpses were deposited at the Ifo General Hospital. While commiserating with the victims and family of the dead, Oladele requested members of the public whose relations used the corridor that period to contact the FRSC Command in Ota for more information about the crash or the two hospitals mentioned.
