Ubah leaves DSS custody after six weeks
The Department of State Services (DSS) has released the chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Limited Ifeanyi, Chief Ifeanyi Ubah, after almost six weeks in detention over allegation of economic sabotage.
According to a report, he was released unconditionally on Monday night by the security agency.
Ubah was arrested on May 5 for allegedly diverting petrol kept in his tank farm in Lagos by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
The secret police said the product was worth N11 billion, adding that the alleged diversion was calculated to induce a fresh round of fuel scarcity in the country.
