Ugwuanyi says Enugu is safest states in Nigeria

Amid growing insecurity nationwide, Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, said his state remains one of the safest, which maintains peace and security of the lives and property of its populace.

Amid growing insecurity nationwide, Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, said his state remains one of the safest, which maintains peace and security of the lives and property of its populace.

The governor said this in Enugu, at the presentation of the second edition of the books; “Discovering the Police” and “Sugar Cane Receipts,” authored by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Emmanuel Ojukwu.

He commended the Enugu police command for their support and cooperation, in attaining a sustainable peace in the state.Ugwuanyi stressed that the police have continued to play their part in the attainment and sustenance of the status of the state, as one of the safest in the country and therefore deserve to be encouraged to do more.

He lauded the author for his wisdom, courage and diligence for contributing his knowledge and experience, not only for officers and men of the force, but the public in general.

He expressed confidence that the books would “offer a deeper insight into the principles and procedures that guide the operations and activities of the police vis-à-vis their mandate to secure the lives and property of citizens.

The governor said the books would also serve to enlighten the people more, on the need to cooperate with the police in the fight against crime and other social ills.In his remark, Ojukwu said his passion and deep-rooted experience in the police, motivated him to write the books.
